[/b][/color] Seven facts? Really? Ah, well, at least that's the bulk of it; god, if only college apps could be this easy. But since I'm still rather new to this whole 'fact' thing, I might as well start off with my origins; I am of British ethnicity, but I've never actually been to the UK. I was born in Nevada, by parents that moved to the US about a decade earlier, so I'm a complete American citizen. I'd love to visit Britain one day, but it's never been, well, an aspiration of mine... unlike some other kooks that practically worship the place and look at me as some sort of degenerate for never going there.
2. I'm a pretty laid-back person; not much gets me mad or angry. I just take things as it is; it's not my job to worry about other people's actions, anyway. 'Go with the flow' has pretty much been a motto of mine ever since I was a little kid. It's just too much energy to argue, really.
3. Right now, I've come to the point where I don't care what people think of me - in a way, it sort of ties into the whole 'go with the flow' belief. I'm a pretty blunt person, and I speak whatever is on my mind. It's gotten me in a bit of trouble before (with the occasional teacher now and then especially) but I'd rather people see who I really am and judge me on that then keep all my thoughts and opinions bottled up inside of me.
4. Hm. Fact number four. Still have several more left to do. Who came up with the random number of seven, anyway? Ah, well, might as well get this over with already. Alright, so, when I was nine, my uncle taught me to play card games - and not your typical 'Go Fish'. Started with Texas Hold 'em, then moved on to blackjack, and several other gambling card games. I played a mean hand, and soon my enjoyment of the game turned into more of an addiction, especially in my teenage years. Long story short, I was soon racking up the debts and getting myself into a shitload of a mess. Right now, I haven't gambled in several months, and I intend it to stay that way.
5. At heart, I'm honestly a goofball; my sense of humor is mostly in the sarcastic to witty range, but it's become second nature to me to crank out a joke whenever possible. It sends a little thrill through my body whenever someone is laughing because of me; do I love the attention? Maybe. All eyes are on me, even if it's just for a moment. But either way, it gives both me and the person something to feel good about.
6. I'm a horrible procrastinator - really, I know almost every teenager out there has procrastinated at least once in their lives. It's human - er, well, more like adolescent nature. I've had at least several experiences when I finished a major grade project in class the day it was assigned, down to the very last second. Obviously, the grade wasn't great, but I've pretty much become a natural of getting through sticky situations like that.
7. Christ, number seven already? Hate to admit it, but that went by pretty fast. Well, since this is an art school, I may as well mention why I'm here. To be honest, I don't really consider myself an artist at all; I've never really aligned myself with anything, actually. Sure, I like photography, and I honestly enjoy taking pictures; but my parents must have noticed this and thought, "Hey, photography = art! Let's ship him off to a school on the other side of the country so he's off our backs!" Alright, so I may be exaggerating a bit; but really, I don't consider myself to be extraordinarily talented in... well, anything. Except maybe gambling. But that really isn't something to be proud of.
