[/b][/color] I am extremely shy. I have always been shy and probably always will be. Its really hard to get me to come out of my shell and just have fun and enjoy myself for once. It takes time and a special person to get to know the real me.
2. I have very low self esteem. I don't think I'm pretty. I never think I'm good enough for anything. My dad is the main reason for this. He is always telling me that I can do way better. He never supports me and it seems like he's always against everything I do. I really do love him dearly, but I don't think he loves me.
3. I have major trust problems. It takes me a long time before I finally trust someone. I've learned that people change and therefore shouldn't be trusted. The only person I trust is my mom, but she brought me into this world.
4. My heart has only been broken once, but once was more than enough to send me into depression. I shut myself up in my room and didn't talk to anyone for a very long time. I wouldn't even let my mom try and help me. Time is the only healer of a broken heart.
5. My mom is my idol. I look up to her in every way possible. We are amazingly close, I tell her everything. I strive to grow up to be just like her. I love her very much. She is supportive of everything I do and has always been there for me no matter what. ¢¾
6. I had a twin. But when we were 13, we discovered that she had cancer. She was very strong and fought, but in the end cancer ended up winning. She died at the age of 15. We were very close and I always think about her. I constantly wonder why it was her that got cancer instead of me because, after all, we were exactly alike inside and out. I strongly believe that deep down, my dad wishes it was me who died of cancer rather than my sister.
7. I long to be loved for exactly who I am. I want to be with someone that I know will always be there for me. I want someone that loves everything about me, including all of my flaws.

Scarlett and her mother, Beth, were driving in their car on the way to the doctors office. Scarlett had an appointment because some mysterious bruises have been popping up all over Scarlett's body. "Mom, I'm really scared.. I don't know how I keep getting more and more bruises. What if I have cancer or something!" Beth replied, "Now now, I'm sure its nothing. You know how clumsy you are dear. You run into things without realizing it all the time." Deep down she thought, 'Surely scarlett wouldn't have cancer..things like that just didn't happen to their family, they couldn't happen to their family. It just wasn't possible.' She shook the thought of cancer out of her mind completely and tried thinking of more, likely reasons that Scarlett kept getting more bruises all over her body. It was like there was a small battle going on inside her head. 'She's so clumsy. She trips and falls all the time, that has to be the reason she has so many bruises. But why would they appear in such odd places like on her back..how could she trip and get a bruise on her back?? No, no..I'm sure it's nothing. She doesn't have cancer. ' And yet there was something inside her constantly telling her that it was indeed cancer. She let out a sigh and decided to stop thinking about it all together and just listen to what the doctor had to say about all of this.
They arrived at the doctor's office and walked in, both of them were scared and yet optomistic at the same time. Scarlett grabbed the newest Seventeen magazine and in no time became indulgde in it, Beth walked up to the sign in place, "Hello. Doctor appointment for Scarlett Carmichael." The lady at the desk said, "Ok, Mr. Louis will be with you in a moment." "Thank you," Beth replied kindly. She took a seat beside Scarlett letting her mind wonder about all of the possibilites.
Approximately 10 or so minutes later, the lady sitting at the desk perked up and said, "Scarlett, Mr. Louis will see you now." Scarlett looked up from her magazine and sadly put it back wishing she could just stay there and read the magazine. They walked into the doctor's office, Scarlett took a seat on the medical table and Beth took a seat on a chair in the corner. Mr. Louis smiled brightly at them, "Hello Scarlett, Beth. What seems to be the problem." Beth started, "Well Scarlett has been having bruises pop up on her body. We thought that it was nothing at first because she is very clumsy," she let out a small laugh and then continued, "but then we saw that the bruises were popping up in the most awkward places. We didn't know how they could possibly be occuring in some of these places, so I figured we could come in and get a check up and maybe run a few tests to calm my nerves." Mr. Louis nodded, "Alright that's not a problem. Scarlett, mind if I see one of these bruises?" Scarlett shook her head, "Not at all." She lifted up the back of her shirt and revealed a big, oddly colored bruise, located on her lower back. Mr. Louis examined it and nodded, "Yes we will just have to run some tests and check and make sure everything is ok. Scarlett please come with me, Beth you can take a seat out in the waiting room please." Mr. Louis took Scarlett to another room in the building and began running a serious of tests.
A couple of days later, the test results come back. Scarlett has cancer. This is only the beginning of a very long, emotional, battle.
