For once, taking pictures and playing with Spanky just wasn't enough to please Ellie. So, she was at her last resort. Leaning over from where she was seated on the park bench, she opened up her large case and opened up her other love; her beloved cello. Sighing, she smiled at Spanky who was snoozing under the bench. Again she supposed that puppy feet had farther to go than human feet. Not to mention whatever he did when she was in class. Shrugging the thought away, she rosined up her bow before beginning.
Humming, she started a slow, almost lazy enough tune that would put someone to sleep, her shin resting on the instrument as she closed her eyes. And then they snapped open, the tempo picking up with intensity. This was what she loved about the music. It had no rules, no boundaries, no general guidelines. You could do anything you wanted without getting in trouble. No one could dictate the music. It was it's own ruler. People could only alter it.
She liked to believe in what Julie had taught her. "It's not just some guys creation. It's already there, around us, breathing through us. You just have to sculpt it. They've given us the clay and now we work." Well, Julie had been some sort of musical prodigy, at least in Ellie's opinion. She could play cello, bass, piano, harp, AND to top it off she could sing. Unfortunately being adopted and all, she hadn't inherited any genes from her. Still, the cello seemed enough for her. She wasn't at all as talented as Jules but she could live with that.
Her fingers moving across the strings, she felt Spanky stir by the leg of her jeans, but payed it no mind. She was too lost, too in control of what she was doing. She really was enjoying herself and felt like she was at the top of the world doing it. And then his sharp barks made her jump, he knocking between her feet as he scrambled to get up and she fell over to the side, her cello falling back against the bench and sliding, Ellie herself laying on the ground. Lying on the grass with her arms across her stomach, she looked up to see a figure looming over head, casting a shadow across her and the cowering puppy. "Ow, Hi!"

---------------------------- Sera was slightly bored, and as most bored people do when they’re bored he tried to find some way to cure this aforementioned boredom. It was a nice day out, so the teen had decided to venture to the park. He didn’t often go by himself because it wasn’t really fun to go to the park alone. Well, that’s what he believed anyway. He didn’t fix his hair or do his make-up, and he wore track pants and an old t-shirt. But he had plans of messing around with a soccer ball at the park, at least that was fun and something to do, and there was no point in bothering with stuff like that when you were just going to mess it up.
It was beautiful at the park. The weather was nice, there weren’t too many people around, it wasn’t too loud or too quiet. No, it was just a perfect morning. Humming to himself the teen started to make his way around the park to his favorite clearing to mess around in where he wasn’t in danger of accidentally losing his soccer ball. That wouldn’t be too good. With a bottle of Coke in one hand, the teen was ready to just spend a relaxing day at the park… even if it was by himself. But, he slowed to a stop after nearing his favorite part of the park, a small smile tugging on his lips as he saw someone familiar.
He stood there, face scrunched up slightly as he tried to remember the girl’s name. With a defeated sigh and a shrug of his shoulders, he started walking over to her. He knew he wouldn’t remember her name until she said something or he might just randomly pull it out of a hat and get all excited because he actually remembered; but, as of that moment, he still had no idea what her name was. He’d only really met her on AIM; but, it didn’t stop him from wanting to give her a hug. He’d yet to hug someone that morning, and the urge to hug the girl he didn’t know all that well was just as strong as it was to hug someone he was close to… okay, maybe not that bad; but, still…
By the time he reached her, she somehow managed to end up at the ground, staring up at him as he came to a stop again. He laughed softly and bit his lip a little as he smiled. “Hi,” he replied brightly, laughing lightly again. “What’re you doing down there? I mean, the ground can’t be your first choice of places to be. Unless you’re weird, then it very well could be; and, seeing as I don’t know you too well, you could quite enjoy randomly ending up on the ground.” He smiled at her again before moving his soda to his other hand, his arm pinning his soccer ball at his side as he held out his free hand in offer to help up the blond girl he’d met online.
